Apple in general launches a new iPhone model in June or July, but this year’s launch has been delayed for anonymous reasons. Apple watchers had expected the new phone to arrive in September, but speculation has recently shifted towards October.
Apple iPhone 5 release date rumors form a humongous file, and there is an obvious rumor exhaustion in the market. Apple’s flagship phone coming to Sprint Nextel Corp. — was received critically and the carrier’s stock rose more than 10 percent.
Sprint will be another sales channel for Apple’s popular Mobile. According to the sources from the company, Sprint Carrier will be selling the Apple iPhone 5 in October 2011. Sprint had more than 52 million subscribers at the closing stages of the second quarter, compared with 106 million for Verizon and nearly 99 million for AT&T.
According to Richard Doherty, director of the research firm Envisioneering Group, iPhone 5 would help Sprint retain many of its customers itching to upgrade, the Journal reported. “Sprint needs it… There are a lot of families that will embrace the iPhone.”
Landing the iPhone is an immense triumph for Sprint, whose fall outs have undergone without being able to sell the trend-setting device. Verizon and AT&T have pooled on the high-end Smartphone sector to heighten sales Sprint has so far been left out of the chase. Check us back later for more updates on iPhone 5.
Steve Jobs, co-founder and two-time CEO of Apple, offered his resignation to the company’s board Wednesday. He had not been well since quite some time now. In January, took a medical leave of absence from the company. He returned to the public spotlight in March to help launch the iPad 2.
After resigning he said: “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple. I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you…”
Steve has served Apple for thirteen years and as we all can see it was because of his effort along with the other team members that Apple stands on the highest levels of success now, out numbering the World’s best companies. It was Steve who introduced Macintosh to the world.
Even after resigning as the Chief executive Steve Jobs will still be part of the Apple’s board as he would be the Chairman of the company from now on. Check US back later for more updates on Apple and iPhone 5.
Here is yet another interesting rumor regarding the next generation iPhone 5. It is heard that the new device will carry support for both GSM and CDMA networks in a single handset. This means that the users will be able to switch impeccably between the two wireless network technologies.
Till a year back, Apple only manufactured a GSM-capable iPhone, as it was the only technology supported by Apple. This year Apple released a CDMA iPhone when it announced it would support Verizon. Despite having similar appearance, the CDMA and the GSM iPhones are actually entirely different devices built in different places. So now Apple has come up with the idea of building both GSM and CDMA in one phone.
The crossbreed iPhone that is expected to hit the market will include the hardware necessary to run on both CDMA networks, such as Verizon, and GSM networks, such as AT&T, allowing users to switch between those haulers, without having to replace the hardware. This change would make the iPhone the perfect travel smart phone, allowing it to work with practically any phone carrier in the world.
This is actually great news for users living in countries with CDMA carriers who frequently travel abroad. With this upcoming technology, they won’t need to carry along a separate GSM handset ever again but can easily switch networks when in different location. Well if Apple does manage to build both the bands in one device then it would truly be a ‘universal phone’.

Cheap 8GB iPhone 4 – Apple definitely does know how to keep its sales running. With the upcoming next generation iPhone 5 in September or October, Apple is planning to build a cheaper phone and launch it before the iPhone 5.
It is heard that Apple is building a cheaper, 8GB iPhone 4, according to two unnamed sources who spoke with Reuters. Nothing is for sure yet but it came to the knowledge that the new version of the iPhone 4 is currently in production at a Korean manufacturer.
The Asian suppliers to Apple Inc have begun manufacturing a lower-priced version of hottest selling iPhone 4 with a smaller 8 gigabyte flash drive. So far, Apple has been sourcing its flash drives from Japan’s Toshiba and South Korea’s Samsung Electronics.
Till now, two models of iPhone 4 are available in the market. The current iPhone 4, which was revealed during the 2010 Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2010, only comes in 16GB and 32GB models. Well, people can expect to see a new model that is cheaper, soon in the market. Some say it might be just few weeks before the new model is introduced to the people.
Exactly who is manufacturing this 8 GB flash drive is not known yet. The sources declined to be identified because the information has not been made public. Apple, which demands high levels of secrecy and security from suppliers and employees, declined to comment. Along with it, Samsung has also declined to say anything about the manufacturers.
If Apple is planning to achieve high sales from this new model, then it might be wrong because the price for 8GB iPhone 4 would hardly go below $200, so Apple will still need a completely new phone with low specifications for the emerging markets. Check us back later for more updates on iPhone 5.
